'Mcal. Francisco Solano López' Monument

The Mcal. Francisco Solano López Monument in Asunción, Paraguay, honors the controversial Paraguayan general and president Francisco Solano López. The monument consists of an equestrian statue of Solano López and was unveiled in 2011. It symbolizes both his military leadership during the Triple Alliance War and the controversial history of that period.
